Japan Earthquake: Applied Materials Update

Reposted from the Applied Materials Blog

by Matt Ceniceros

Today, a tsunami spawned by one of the largest earthquakes recorded, with a magnitude 8.9, slammed Japan’s eastern coast.

Applied Materials has offices and operations in Japan and we’re relieved to report all Applied Materials employees have been accounted for and are safe.

We have already made shifts in our supply chain and are working closely with our customers and suppliers to prepare our operations to support customer needs.

Our thoughts go out to our employees and customers, their families and all of the people of Japan during this tragedy.
