MEMS Needs & Opportunities Workshop

iNEMI is sponsoring this workshop to discuss the challenges of developing and adopting MEMS technologies. Through collaboration along the supply chain, we can reduce risk and accelerate technology adoption in a wide variety of product segments. The workshop will:

  • Feature speakers from OEMs, suppliers, and research institutions working on MEMS technology development.
  • Identify challenges and gaps that benefit from a collaborative approach. These gaps may be related to technology maturity/deployment as well as development processes such as testing methodologies and reliability verification.

Meeting Objectives
The overall objective of this workshop is to accelerate technology development and cost-effective deployment of MEMS to meet the increasing demand for more efficient and sustainable electronics solutions for the global society. By promoting interactions among the participating thought leaders, we intend to:

  • Identify the major technology areas where the electronics industry has the greatest potential impact on improving the reliability, testability, performance, and cost of MEMS–based solutions.
  • For the high-priority challenges, identify and begin to define collaborative projects that iNEMI and other organizations can develop that will either partially or fully address the technology and supply chain gaps requiring electronics industry leadership.
  • Form action groups to define and execute the required industrial collaborative programs.
  • Define research and development needs to support these programs.

Who Should Attend
Middle management and senior executives whose responsibilities include:

  • Advanced technology development
  • Product strategy and development
  • Sourcing and supply chain management
  • Product qualification and regulatory certification

Benefits of Participation
The intent of this meeting is to set the priorities and direction for future industry-led collaborative programs. Your participation will enable you to help set this agenda for the electronics industry. Those who participate in the follow-on collaborative programs will enjoy a competitive advantage as new technologies and methodologies are developed and deployed to drive MEMS industry best practices.
